HARBOR RIDGES ASSOCIATION BOARD of DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES

Meeting Date: Monday, July 13 2026

Location: Home of President Greg McAllister. 8121 Harbor Lane, #202, Baileys Harbor, WI

Call to Order: 1:06 pm

Attendance: President. Greg McAllister; Vice Pres. Sue Fedenia; Treas. Maureen Sandstrom-McGrath; Sec. Mitch Leavitt.

Minutes of Last Meetings: Approved.

Treasurer Report: Checking account balance as of June 3, 2026 is $2,194.54. The only unpaid expense is to reimburse Joan Gilbertson the $25 fee for registration of the corporation with State of Wisconsin. It would be preferable to have a second board member added to the checking account in case Maureen is unavailable to sign.

New business:

Annual meeting planned for Saturday, August 22, 2:30pm, Location: Near the waterfront Adirondack Chairs by the Baileys Harbor Yacht Club condominiums and marina. Various tasks were assigned to board members. We will update the announcement from last year and distribute it to properties on Ridges Rd and Harbor Ln. The organization will provide water, wine, beer, ice, some light snacks, name tags, and cups. We will plan for a social hour, followed by the annual meeting. Various supporting tasks will be performed by board members.

Board membership. Vice President Fedenia and Treasurer Sandstrom McGrath would like to relinquish their positions, but are willing to continue if replacements cannot be identified. None of the current board members permanently reside in WI. The State of WI requires that the corporate mailing address be in WI. Currently, past President Joan Gilbertson offers her personal home address as the corporate address. It would be preferable to have a Wisconsin resident as a board member for that function. President McAllister and Secretary Leavitt are willing to continue in their positions.

Outreach for membership. Greg will send last year’s announcement to Mitch and Maureen, who will update it, distribute a draft to Greg & Sue for editing comments. Mitch will send the final draft to current members by email. Maureen and Mitch intend to distribute printed copies to homes along Ridges Rd, Harbor Lane and Schmitz Dr.

Old Business:

Donny S. update: Greg updated the board on progress toward removing the Donny S, the tugboat stranded in Baileys Harbor. HRA members participated in a DNR working group on the tug through the winter and spring. The Baileys Harbor Town Council and the Door County Board of Supervisors issued resolutions calling on the DNR to remove the tug. Greg will provide a more detailed update at the HRA annual meeting.

Web Site. Mitch will clarify the status of the web site created by Cynthia LaConte. Greg intends to discuss the web site and evaluate interest of members at the annual meeting.
